Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking a talented Mechanic/Fabricator to join its team at its facility in Woodland, CA. PCP is dedicated to investing in its people and fostering a culture of service, where each employee can do their best to make affordable, high-quality food for customers across North America.

Our state-of-the-art Woodland facility uses advanced technology to process whole tomatoes into various products such as diced, crushed, stewed, sauces, and paste. The facility features a number of advanced technologies that are designed to enhance the quality of the products. For example, a cutting-edge sorting system ensures only the highest quality tomatoes are used. We are committed to sustainability, using a closed-loop water system and renewable energy sources like solar power to minimize our carbon footprint. The Woodland facility is a prime example of Pacific Coast Producers' dedication to quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

This position is part of a seniority based collective bargaining unit and require work on various shifts with potential for a great deal of overtime during the processing season.

Pay Rate: $36.84 per hour. Full time/40 hours per week with some weekend and overtime hours required when needed.

Primary job duties would include:

  • Fabricate, modify and repair equipment and structures. 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that equipment is in good working order.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and make repairs as needed.
  • Document all work performed and keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Operate machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency with welding, including TIG, MIG, Heliarc and Stainless Steel.
  • Minimum of one (1) year maintenance experience.
  • Mechanic experience with conveyors, pumps, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Food processing experience a plus.
  • Experience maintaining cannery equipment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and internal customers.
  • Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work weekend and overtime during our harvest season (July-October).
